The 100th Annual Kate Kennedy Spring Procession will take place on Saturday 18th April 2026. It will leave from St Salvator’s Quad at 2pm, before winding its way through town and returning to the Quad before 4pm.
-
We would recommend gathering outside the gates to St Salvator’s Quad, where you can watch the Procession begin, led out by St Andrew himself.
There is also a platform outside Holy Trinity Church on South Street, where the characters will be presented to the crowd. The Lady Katharine will also be received by the Provost of Fife.
That said, please join us at any point on the route, shown on this page!
If you have accessibility issues, seating will be available to the side of the stage.

With the safety and security of our participants and crowds at the forefront of minds, Fife Council, the Police, and the Club have agreed to do a full road closure for the duration of the Procession.
This means that parking will be suspended in the centre of town from Saturday morning, and the streets of St Andrews will then be closed from shortly before the Procession.
These restrictions are being managed carefully between Fife Council, the Police, and Crexcell, the private traffic management company responsible for orchestrating the closures. They will work to return town to normal after the Procession has concluded.
We would be grateful if you could show respect to any stewards or marshals who are helping to ensure the safety of those on the streets, and we thank you for your patience.

Yes - parking in the centre of St Andrews will be suspended from Saturday morning to allow the Procession to take place safely. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative parking, including towards West Sands.
-
It will be business as usual in the centre of St Andrews on the day of the Procession. We are communicating actively with local businesses across St Andrews to ensure they are aware of the Procession and able to benefit from the increased footfall it will bring to town.
While parking in the centre of town will be suspended, we would encourage you to make use of the parking available towards West Sands.

We are hosting numerous community-focused events over the 16th-19th April in St Andrews to celebrate the Kate Kennedy Club’s Centenary. This includes a Historical Symposium, a Community Day, and a Community Ceilidh.
